Location data in the Filic Express driver app

The Filic Express mobile app collects the location of the driver's device, including while the app is closed or not in use. We collect it only from drivers who are signed in to the app, and only while they are working with us.

We use this location to show dispatchers where a truck is, to give brokers and customers an accurate pickup and delivery time, to confirm arrival at a pickup or delivery, and to help a driver who breaks down or needs assistance. Load tracking is a core part of our service, and it cannot work if the location stops the moment a driver locks the phone or puts it in a pocket while driving.

Together with the position we collect the speed of travel and the battery level of the device, so dispatch knows when a phone is about to run out of power and the truck is about to disappear from the map.

Location data is sent only to Filic Express servers. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties, except with the broker or customer of the specific load being carried, who is shown the position of that shipment only.

A driver can turn location sharing off at any time in the phone settings, or by signing out of the app, and can ask us to delete stored position history by writing to the address at the bottom of this page.
